I am a promoter, DJ and salsa dance instructor based here in Oxford, with a strong drive to see more grassroots venues, and musicians and events succeed across the area. I also understand the problems posed by a decreasing number of live music venues and creative spaces in the city. I have experience creating and running grassroots festivals (with grant sponsorship from the arts council), live music programming, and in creating inclusive community events. My experience in hospitality and events in Oxford spans nearly 10 years, through running popular salsa and Latin American music events and, of course, through attending a range of other events in the area. I was the general manager at the Mad Hatter, and whilst there, I curated the entertainment program, focusing particularly on live music events.
