I am a young live sound engineer in-training, who has been in Oxford for just over 3 years.
Having grown up in Bournemouth, I have experience in classical music, motor sports engineering, street dance and fashion.
You will now most likely find me behind a mixing desk, holding a bass guitar, carrying a speaker on my head, campaigning for welfare and solidarity or grooving to some Tech-House.
Two truths and a lie:
· I was a stage-dancer for a DJ Jazzy Jeff DJ set.
· I have performed in the Royal Albert Hall.
· I broke my collarbone whilst karting.
Favourite Oxford music scene moment:
I sound engineered a gig for young exciting band Double Yellow Lines at The Cape of Good Hope. From an engineering perspective it was one of the most challenging, draining gigs I’ve ever done, however when DYL came on, all the stars aligned. The sound was spot on, and the crowd was spectacular. Seeing that many young people trancing to live music and being able to provide an environment for them to do so is what puts a smile on my face and keeps me going.
